The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 provisional answer key is expected to be released today, 2 March 2026, on the official CTET website — ctet.nic.in — according to the latest live updates. Candidates who appeared in the CTET February 2026 session (held on 7 and 8 February) are awaiting the official answer key PDF for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, along with their OMR response sheets.
CTET 2026 Answer Key – Expected Release & Download
As per recent updates, the CBSE is preparing to publish the provisional answer key for the 21st Edition of CTET 2026 on the official CTET portal — ctet.nic.in. Once released, candidates will be able to download the answer key PDFs to cross-check their responses and estimate their probable scores before the final results are announced.
How to Download the CTET 2026 Answer Key?
Once the official answer key is out, candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the CTET official site: ctet.nic.in.
- Look for the “CTET 2026 Answer Key” link.
- Login using application number and date of birth.
- Download the provisional answer key PDF for Paper 1 and Paper 2.The PDF will show correct options for all sets of question papers, enabling candidates to compare and calculate estimated scores
CTET 2026 OMR Response Sheet & Objection Window
Along with the provisional answer key, the CBSE is expected to upload scanned copies of the OMR response sheets used by candidates during the exam. After the provisional key release:
- The objection window will open, typically lasting 2–3 days.
- Candidates can challenge answers by selecting questions and paying the specified processing fee per item.Challenges found valid after review may lead to revisions in the final answer key.
Why CTET 2026 Answer Key Matters?
The CTET answer key helps candidates:
- Estimate their likely scores before the official result.
- Identify correct answers for questions in both papers.
- Raise objections against potentially incorrect official answers.
There is no negative marking in CTET, so candidates receive +1 mark for each correct answer; unanswered or incorrect responses score zero.
Next Steps After Answer Key Release
After the provisional key and objection period:
- CBSE will review challenges submitted by candidates.
- A final answer key will be published based on evaluations.
- CTET 2026 results will follow after final key release; results typically include qualifying status and marks.
