The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CTET 2026 exam city intimation slip for the February session. Candidates can now download the slip with their login details to check allotted exam cities ahead of the final admit card release.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam city intimation slip for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session on its official portal. Registered candidates can now download the slip to find out the city where their examination centre will be located ahead of the final admit card release. This slip is a crucial milestone in the exam process, helping candidates plan their travel and logistics in advance before detailed exam centre information is shared.
How to Download the CTET Exam City Slip?
Candidates appearing in the CTET February 2026 exam will need to visit the official CTET website — ctet.nic.in — and log in using their application number/roll number and date of birth to access the city intimation slip. Once logged in, the slip will display the allocated exam city. It does not contain the exact exam centre address, which will be provided later on the official admit card expected closer to the exam date
Importance of the City Slip Ahead of Admit Card
The city intimation slip is released well before the final admit card to allow candidates sufficient time to make travel and accommodation arrangements, especially those who may need to travel out of their home district or state. The final CTET admit card 2026 — which will include the detailed exam centre address, reporting time, and other instructions — is anticipated to be issued a few days before the examination.
CTET February 2026 Exam Schedule
The CTET February 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 8 February 2026 (Sunday). Candidates will have two papers depending on the level they are appearing for:
- Paper I: For teaching Classes I-V
- Paper II: For teaching Classes VI-VIII
Both papers will be held offline at designated centres in various cities across India.
Planning Logistics After City Release
With the city intimation slip now available, candidates should:
- Download and save the slip for reference.
- Plan travel and accommodation based on the allocated city.
- Monitor the official CTET website for the admit card release date.
- Prepare necessary documentation (photo ID, printed admit card) for exam day entry.
The release of the city intimation slip is a key step in the CTET schedule and allows aspirants to organise logistical arrangements ahead of the exam.
