The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 city intimation slip has been released on the official CTET website. This slip informs candidates of their allotted exam city and helps plan travel before the official CTET admit card is issued. The CTET 2026 exam is scheduled for early February 2026, with admit cards expected days before.
The CTET 2026 city intimation slip for the February session has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) ahead of the upcoming Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download their city slips from the official portal to know where their test will be held.
CTET 2026 City Intimation Slip: What It Is and How to Use It?
The city intimation slip is a preliminary document that informs candidates of their allotted exam city and scheduled exam date. It does not include detailed exam centre address or reporting time — those will be provided later on the official CTET admit card. The slip allows candidates to arrange travel and stay in advance.
To download the city slip, candidates should:
- Visit the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in
- Click on the link for CTET February 2026 Exam City Slip
- Enter application number and date of birth
- Submit to view and download the slip
Candidates are advised to save and print a copy of the city slip for reference.
CTET 2026 Exam Dates and Schedule
The CTET 2026 exam will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode across the country in early February 2026. According to official schedules, the test will take place on 7 and 8 February 2026, with Paper I and Paper II scheduled on respective dates and shifts. The CTET evaluates teaching eligibility for Classes I to V (Paper I) and Classes VI to VIII (Paper II). Candidates should note that the city slip only lists the exam city — not the specific exam centre address. Exact venue details will be available on the official CTET admit card 2026, which is expected to be released a few days before the exam, likely in the first week of February.
Importance of CTET City Intimation Slip
The city intimation slip is crucial for candidates to finalise logistics ahead of the CTET exam. Since many candidates may need to travel to another city for the test, knowing the exam city well in advance helps plan accommodation, commute, and other arrangements smoothly. However, the slip alone is not sufficient for entry into the examination hall; candidates must download the final CTET admit card when released and carry it along with valid photo ID proof on the exam day.
Next Steps for Candidates
Candidates should regularly check the official CTET portal for updates regarding the admit card release date, which will include detailed exam centre information, reporting time, and instructions for exam day. Keeping login credentials (application number and date of birth) ready will help ensure a smooth process when downloading the admit card . Proper preparation and timely download of both the city slip and admit card will ensure candidates are fully ready for the upcoming CTET 2026 examination.
