CMAT 2026 exam is being conducted today by the National Testing Agency across various test centres in India. The national-level MBA entrance exam is scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with candidates reporting well in advance for verification.
CMAT 2026 Exam Day Overview and Candidate Attendance
The Common Management Admission Test is being held in computer-based test mode in over 120 cities across the country. Around 75,000 candidates are expected to appear for CMAT 2026 for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes. The CMAT 2026 admit card was issued on 21 January 2026 and candidates were advised to download it before reaching the examination centre. Entry to the exam hall is permitted only after successful verification of documents and biometric authentication.
CMAT 2026 Exam Timings and Reporting Schedule
Candidates were required to reach their allotted exam centres well before the test to complete the identification process. Entry gates were closed strictly as per the schedule released by the authorities. The CMAT 2026 exam timing details are given below:
- Reporting time: 7:00 am
- Gate closing time: 8:30 am
- Exam start time: 9:00 am
- Exam end time: 12:00 pm
Late entry was not allowed under any circumstances after the gate closing time.
CMAT 2026 Question Paper Pattern and Difficulty Level
As per initial feedback from candidates, the CMAT 2026 question paper is expected to be of moderate difficulty level. No changes have been made to the exam pattern this year. The CMAT 2026 paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering:
- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Candidates attempting around 75 questions with high accuracy are expected to secure a competitive score.
CMAT 2026 Documents Required at Exam Centre
Candidates were required to carry mandatory documents for identity verification and attendance marking. Without valid documents, entry to the exam hall was not permitted. The required documents for CMAT 2026 include:
- Two printed copies of CMAT 2026 admit card
- One passport-size photograph for attendance sheet
Candidates had to carry any one of the following valid photo identity proofs:
- Aadhaar Card with photograph
- E-Aadhaar with photograph
- PAN Card
- Passport
- School Identity Card
- Class 12 board admit card with photograph
- Bank passbook with photograph
PwD candidates were required to carry a valid PwD certificate and scribe certificate, if applicable. Candidates who have changed their name were required to produce supporting legal documents.
CMAT 2026 Answer Key and Expected Cut Offs
The provisional CMAT 2026 answer key is expected to be released after the completion of the exam. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections within the stipulated time period. Based on the difficulty level and previous trends, the CMAT 2026 expected cut offs are likely to remain similar to last year. Final cut offs will be announced individually by participating institutes during the admission and counselling process.
