The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 was successfully conducted today by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across India. Nearly 75,000 candidates appeared for the exam at more than 120 test centres. The CMAT 2026 admit cards were released on 21 January 2026, and candidates were advised to reach their test centres well in advance.
CMAT 2026 Exam Timings and Reporting
Candidates were required to report at 7:00 am for verification. The exam started at 9:00 am and concluded at 12:00 pm, with gates closing at 8:30 am.
CMAT 2026 Question Paper Pattern
The CMAT 2026 exam comprised 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no changes from the previous year. Candidates were advised to attempt 75 questions accurately to score well. Subject-wise topics included:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
The exam was reported to be moderate in difficulty, with time management being a significant factor.
Documents Required on Exam Day
Candidates had to carry the following documents:
- Two copies of CMAT 2026 admit card (A4 size)
- Passport-size photograph for the attendance sheet
- One valid photo ID such as: School ID, PAN, Passport, Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar, Class 12 Board Admit Card, or Bank Passbook with photo
- PwD candidates required to carry relevant certificates
- Name change/marriage certificates if applicable
CMAT 2026 Exam Analysis & Expected Cut Offs
Based on initial student feedback:
- Quantitative Techniques: Moderate and calculation-intensive
- Logical Reasoning: Moderate
- Language Comprehension: Easy to moderate
- General Awareness: Easy
The overall exam was moderate and lengthy, with Mathematics and Quantitative sections requiring careful time management. Candidates aiming for top percentile scores are expected to have 75+ accurate attempts, with 80–85 percentile considered a strong score. The CMAT 2026 results are expected to be announced soon on the official website ntacmat.nic.in, along with cut off marks and counselling schedule.
