Candidates should be particularly careful while entering personal information, selecting the programme and category, uploading documents and paying the CLAT application fee 2027. The important CLAT 2027 registration dates are given below:
The Consortium has advised candidates not to wait until the last date to submit their forms because incomplete applications will not be considered.
CLAT 2027 Application Form: 7 Things to Check
Candidates should check the following seven points before completing the CLAT 2027 application form.
1. Check CLAT 2027 Eligibility
Before starting CLAT registration 2027, candidates should confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements for the UG or PG programme they are applying for. Candidates should also check the admission requirements of the participating NLUs.
2. Enter Name and Personal Details Correctly
The candidate's name and parents' names should be entered exactly as they appear on certificates, marksheets, Aadhaar or other identity documents. Any mismatch between the application form and documents may create problems during the admission process.
3. Select CLAT Programme and Category Carefully
Candidates must select the correct programme, whether CLAT UG 2027 or CLAT PG 2027, and choose the applicable category. The Consortium has clarified that requests to change the programme or category after submission will not be entertained.
Candidates claiming reservation benefits should also ensure that they have the relevant certificate issued by the competent authority.
4. Upload All Required Documents
Candidates should keep the required documents ready before completing the CLAT application form 2027. The Consortium requires candidates to upload a recent passport-size photograph, signature and applicable category, PwD or BPL certificates.
According to the official instructions, the documents and certificates are to be uploaded in PDF format.
5. Check CLAT 2027 Application Fee
Candidates should verify the application fee applicable to their category before making the payment. The CLAT 2027 application fee is Rs 4,000 for General/OBC candidates and Rs 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL/PwD candidates.
Candidates can pay the fee online. The application fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. Those opting to purchase previous years' question papers have to pay an additional Rs 500.
6. Verify the Complete Application Form
Candidates should carefully review every field before clicking the final submit button. This is particularly important because the Consortium has stated that incorrect or unauthentic information can lead to cancellation of candidature.
Candidates should also check that their uploaded documents are clear and that all mandatory fields have been completed.
7. Do Not Wait for CLAT 2027 Registration Last Date
The CLAT 2027 registration last date is October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Candidates should complete the application and fee payment well before the deadline to avoid technical or payment-related issues.
The Consortium has specifically advised candidates to submit the application well in advance and not wait until the final hours.
CLAT 2027 Application: What Cannot Be Changed After Submission?
Candidates should be extra careful with certain fields in the CLAT 2027 application form. Once the application is submitted and the fee is paid, the programme, category and BPL field cannot be changed.
The Consortium has also warned that discrepancies between the information entered in the application and the documents produced during admission can lead to cancellation of provisional admission.
Therefore, candidates should cross-check their personal details, programme, category, eligibility information and uploaded documents before final submission.
CLAT 2027 Exam Date and Mode
The CLAT 2027 exam will be conducted on December 6, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The examination will be conducted in offline mode. PwD candidates eligible for the additional time facility will have an extended examination duration, as specified by the Consortium.
Candidates should regularly check the official CLAT website for further updates related to the admit card, examination centres, answer key, result and counselling.
