Central Board of Secondary Education has released a set of new guidelines for Class 10th and 12th for the 2026 Board Exams. CBSE has introduced a two-board examination policy for the very first time for Class 10th students. According to the new policy, the main board examinations that are scheduled for mid-February are compulsory for all students. The second board examinations will also be conducted along with the List of Candidates Submissions.
Linkage Between APAAR IDs and List of Candidates
CBSE has also stated that it’s mandatory for the linkage of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID with the List of Candidates of Class 10th and 12th. Due to the linkage between the Academic Account Registry ID and LOC Data, it will reduce errors, streamline student records, and improve the management of academic data.
CBSE also stated that only error-free data would be accepted by the authority. The data that needs to be submitted by the school authorities are the personal identity of the candidate, the mother/father’s information, date of birth, APPAR ID, Subject Codes and Combinations, category applied by the candidate, like First Sitting, Improvement and Compartment.
Children with Special Needs Portal
CBSE has also launched the portal named ‘Children with Special Needs Portal’. This portal has been launched for the CSWN students to submit their records and information.
All these implementation brings a change in the CBSE Examination Ecosystem. Through this, CBSE has made a bold move towards digital integration, operational efficiency, and redefining the ecosystem.
