CBSE has introduced an Integrated Payment System for Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary board examinations to streamline payments linked to exam-related duties. The new system has been implemented for the 2024–2025 academic session to ensure faster processing and timely disbursal of remuneration to examination functionaries. According to the official update, the initiative aims to bring transparency, efficiency, and accuracy in payments related to supplementary examinations conducted by the board.
CBSE Integrated Payment System for Supplementary Exams 2025
The Central Board of Secondary Education has rolled out the Integrated Payment System, commonly referred to as IPS, to manage all payments associated with Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary board examinations. The system will cover remuneration for practical examinations, examination centre duties, spot evaluation, and marking work linked to the supplementary exams scheduled in 2025. CBSE stated that the introduction of IPS is intended to reduce delays and eliminate discrepancies that often arise during manual or fragmented payment processes. The board expects this system to ensure smoother coordination between schools, examiners, and evaluation centres.
IPS Modules Activated for Class 10 and 12 Supplementary Exams
To support the payment framework, CBSE has activated four dedicated modules on the IPS portal specifically for supplementary examinations. Each module is designed to handle a particular category of exam-related payments. The activated modules include:
- IPS Practical
- IPS Centre Payment
- IPS Spot Evaluation
- IPS Marking Scheme
These modules together will manage all financial components related to supplementary exam duties for both Class 10 and Class 12. CBSE clarified that the use of these modules is mandatory for processing payments for the supplementary examinations.
Instructions Issued to Examination Centres and Schools
CBSE has instructed all schools designated as examination centres to access the IPS portal and complete the required data entry without delay. The board has highlighted the importance of uploading accurate bank account details of examiners and other functionaries involved in the supplementary examinations. The board has cautioned that incorrect or incomplete banking information may result in payment errors, including amounts being credited to unintended accounts. Rectifying such issues later could be time-consuming and complex.
Mandatory Verification by School Principals
To further minimise errors, CBSE has made it mandatory for school principals to personally verify all payment-related details before final submission on the IPS portal. The board has emphasised that this verification step is critical to ensure the authenticity and correctness of the information provided. CBSE officials have noted that accountability at the institutional level will help prevent discrepancies and ensure that payments reach the correct beneficiaries on time.
