CBSE Enforces 10 AM Entry Rule, Exam Bell Schedule Released

CBSE has announced that no student will be allowed to enter the examination centre after 10 AM for morning shift papers. The examination will begin at 10:30 AM, and question papers will be distributed at 10:15 AM. The board has directed all candidates to strictly adhere to reporting timelines.

The announcement was made by Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, who stated that the exam will conclude strictly as per the duration mentioned in the question paper. However, Persons with Disabilities (PwD)candidates will be granted additional time as per prescribed norms.

CBSE Morning Shift Exam Timing and Entry Guidelines

Students must plan their travel in advance, considering traffic, distance, and weather conditions. Schools have been instructed to guide parents and students to ensure timely reporting. Candidates are advised to visit their examination centres before the exam day to avoid confusion regarding location and travel arrangements. The board has emphasised punctuality due to the strict 10 AM closing time for entry.

CBSE Official Bell Schedule for Exam Day

CBSE has introduced a structured bell system to help candidates manage time inside the examination hall. The bell schedule specifies the type of bell and the time at which it will ring. The following key timings have been outlined:

  • 10:00 AM – Last entry in exam centre and distribution of A/B sheets (Long bell)
  • 10:15 AM – Distribution of question paper (Single bell)
  • 10:30 AM – Commencement of examination (Long bell)
  • 11:30 AM – After one hour (Single bell)
  • 12:30 PM – After two hours (Single bell)
  • 01:00 PM – After two and half hours (Single bell)
  • 10 minutes before conclusion – Warning bell (Single bell)
  • End of exam – As per allotted time in question paper (Long bell)

The board clarified that there will be no disturbance during the 15-minute reading time provided to candidates. The single bell will indicate time checkpoints and warnings, while the long bell will signal the start and end of the examination. Through these measures, CBSE aims to ensure smooth conduct of board examinations and maintain uniform time management across all centres.
