CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam 2026 Tomorrow, Pattern & Marking

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CBSE Class 12 Physics Examination 2026 on February 20, 2026. The exam will be held in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with an additional 15 minutes for reading the question paper. Students appearing for the Physics exam are advised to revise the paper pattern carefully and practice from the official sample papers released by CBSE.

The Physics question paper will consist of 33 compulsory questions, divided into five sections:

 

Section-Wise Marks Distribution

  • Section A:
    • 16 questions (12 MCQs + 4 Assertion-Reasoning)
    • 1 mark each
  • Section B:
    • 5 questions
    • 2 marks each
  • Section C:
    • 7 questions
    • 3 marks each
  • Section D:
    • 2 case-study based questions
    • 4 marks each
  • Section E:
    • 3 long-answer questions
    • 5 marks each

This structure ensures a balance between objective, analytical, and application-based questions.
