CBSE Class 10, 12 Compartment Practical Exams Begin On July 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) will start conducting its practical exam for the CBSE Class 10, 12 Compartment Practical Exams from July 10, 2025. Students who got a repeat either in practical or in both (practical and theory) are allowed to give these examinations. External Examiners for Class 12 will be appointed by the regional office, while for the Internal Examiners, the school or examination centre is responsible.

 

Guidelines Issued For Class 10th and 12th Compartmental Students 2025?

Here are some guidelines, issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education for both Class 10th and 12th students:

  • For class 12th students, who got a repeat in practical, are allowed to give the practical exam only, while their theory exam mark will be carried forward the usual.
  • Class 10th students, who were absent on the Internal Assessment day, will be given pro-rata marks based on their performance in the theory exam of the supplementary session.
  • Class 10th students, who got a repeat in theory and practical, have to give theory and practical exams during the supplementary session.

 

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Practical Exam 2025: Practical Exam Venue

The CBSE practical exam for regular compartment students will be conducted in their respective schools, while for the private students, the exam will be held in their theory exam centre. CBSE also clarified that the examination centre or school does not have the facility to conduct a practical exam. Then the regional office has to take responsibility to make such arrangements for conducting the practical exam in nearby examination centres.

 

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Practical Exam 2025: Marks Uploadation

CBSE clarified that the practical examination marks will be uploaded on the same day on their official portal. And after uploading the marks, they will be treated as final marks, and no further changes will be made. Students, along with a copy of their result and admit card, have to report to their respective school/examination centre by July 7, 2025. The reporting schedule will be provided to students through their college. And students must ensure that they report on the appointed time and date. CBSE also asked the school and the examination centre to prepare a subject-wise candidate list, and must appoint the time dan date to the students timely manner. The External Examiner appointed by the regional office must ensure that the answer sheets reach the regional office after the exam, and they are also responsible for the marks are uploaded by time.
