CBSE has issued an advisory for Class 10 and 12 board exams starting February 17, 2026. Students must reach their exam centres by 10 AM, and entry will be barred afterward. Internal assessment and Class 12 practical marks must be uploaded by Saturday, with no extension.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a detailed advisory ahead of the Class 10 and 12 board exams beginning February 17, 2026. According to the advisory, students must reach their examination centres before 10 AM, and no entry will be allowed after this time. The exams will commence at 10:30 AM in a single shift across India and abroad. More than 46 lakh students from India and 26 other countries are scheduled to appear this year, making it one of the largest synchronized school examinations globally. The board emphasized punctuality to maintain uniformity, smooth entry, verification, and proper seating arrangements before question papers are distributed.
Key Advisory Points for Students
- Reporting Time: Students must reach exam centres by 10 AM; late entry is strictly prohibited.
- Exam Start Time: All examinations will begin at 10:30 AM.
- Documentation: Candidates should carry required ID and CBSE hall ticket.
- Travel Planning: Students should factor in traffic, weather, and route diversions to avoid delays.
Internal Assessment & Practical Marks Deadline
The board has reminded schools that Saturday is the final deadline to upload:
- Class 10 internal assessment marks
- Class 12 practical examination scores
No extensions will be granted, and delays may impact the compilation of results and issuance of mark sheets. Internal assessments and practical exams started on January 1, 2026, and schools were advised to complete evaluations promptly.
Board’s Focus on Preparedness
CBSE officials emphasized logistical readiness and discipline. Schools must coordinate with parents and students to ensure compliance with reporting schedules. Authorities also highlighted the importance of invigilators, local authorities, and administrators working together for fairness and order during examinations. Students and parents are advised to monitor official CBSE notifications for updates and strictly follow the guidelines to avoid last-minute confusion.
