The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the CTET 2026 Paper 2 examination at two exam centres in Vaishali (Hajipur), Bihar, due to unavoidable circumstances, the board announced on 7 February 2026.
CTET 2026 Paper 2 Cancellation and Re‑Exam Plan
CTET 2026 has been conducted across 140 cities nationwide in offline OMR‑based mode over 7 and 8 February 2026. The Paper 2 session, intended for candidates aiming to teach Classes VI to VIII, was scheduled in the morning shift. While the exam proceeded smoothly at 1,801 out of 1,803 centres, CBSE decided to cancel the session at two Vaishali centres due to issues that prevented the examination from being conducted fairly.
The affected locations were:
- St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar (Centre Code 125016)
- Lakshya International Academy (Centre Code 125014)
CBSE has assured that candidates allotted to these two centres will be informed of a re‑examination date within the next 15 days. The revised schedule will be communicated individually to the concerned candidates.
