CBSE Board Exam 2026 schedule has been revised for students appearing from several Middle Eastern countries. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that multiple Class 10 board exams have been cancelled, while the Class 12 exam scheduled on 7 March 2026 has been postponed.
The decision was taken after assessing the ongoing situation in several countries in the Middle East. The board stated that the latest announcement follows earlier circulars issued on 1 March 2026 and 3 March 2026.
Countries Affected by CBSE Board Exam Changes
CBSE confirmed that the exam schedule revision applies to students appearing from various Middle Eastern countries. The affected countries include:
- Bahrain
- Iran
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
The board stated that the situation in these countries was reviewed carefully before taking the decision regarding the ongoing board examinations.
CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2026 Cancelled in Middle East
The board has cancelled several Class 10 board exams scheduled between 7 March and 11 March 2026 for students appearing from the Middle East region. In addition, the Class 10 exams that were earlier postponed on 2 March, 5 March and 6 March 2026 will also remain cancelled. CBSE has clarified that the process for declaring Class 10 results for students from the Middle East region will be announced separately. Details regarding the evaluation method will be shared in a later notification.
CBSE Class 12 Exam on 7 March 2026 Postponed
For Class 12 students, the board has postponed the examination scheduled on 7 March 2026. The revised date for the examination will be announced after further review of the situation. CBSE also stated that the situation will be reviewed again on 7 March 2026. Based on the latest assessment, the board will issue new instructions regarding Class 12 exams scheduled from 9 March 2026 onwards.
Advisory Issued for CBSE Students
The board has issued an advisory for students appearing for CBSE board exams from the Middle East region. Students have been advised to:
- Stay in regular contact with their respective schools
- Follow official announcements released by CBSE
- Check updates regarding revised examination schedules
