The board clarified that rumours related to question paper leaks tend to surface during examination seasons, often spread through unverified social media posts and messaging platforms. CBSE stated that such claims are misleading and intended to create unnecessary anxiety among candidates. Students, parents, and schools have been advised not to engage with or forward unverified information. The board highlighted that believing or sharing false claims can disrupt exam preparation and negatively impact students’ mental well-being during a crucial academic phase.
Status of CBSE Board Exams 2026
According to the official schedule, the Class 10 board examinations will conclude on 11 March 2026, while the Class 12 board examinations will end on 10 April 2026. Lakhs of students are appearing for the exams at centres nationwide under established examination protocols. CBSE confirmed that examinations are being conducted as planned, with strict adherence to operational guidelines and monitoring mechanisms to maintain fairness and transparency.
Security Measures and Monitoring Systems
The board reassured stakeholders that comprehensive security arrangements are in place to prevent any malpractice. These include secure handling of question papers, controlled access at exam centres, and close supervision by invigilators and board-appointed officials. CBSE stated that the examination system follows well-established procedures implemented successfully in previous years. In its notice, the board emphasised that circulating fake news related to board examinations is a serious offence and may attract disciplinary or legal action. Schools have also been instructed to guide students and parents appropriately and discourage reliance on unofficial sources.
