The admit card is a mandatory document required for entry into examination centres. Students must ensure they receive their hall tickets before the board exams begin. The CBSE board examinations for both classes are scheduled to start from 17 February 2026, making the admit card release an important upcoming step in the exam process.

CBSE Admit Card 2026 Release Date and Availability

CBSE generally issues admit cards around 10 to 12 days before the first exam. As per current expectations, the Class 10 and Class 12 hall tickets will be made available in early February 2026. CBSE Admit Card 2026 for Regular and Private Candidates

The board follows separate procedures for regular and private candidates. Regular students will receive their hall tickets from their respective schools. Schools download the admit cards from the CBSE portal, sign them, and distribute them to students. Private candidates, on the other hand, can download their admit cards directly using login credentials and required details. This distinction ensures that all students receive verified and authenticated documents before appearing for exams.

Steps to Download Admit Card for Private Candidates

Candidates appearing as private students must complete the download process carefully. Before the steps are listed, it is important to note that the admit card should be printed and carried to the exam centre. The expected steps include:

• Visit the official CBSE portal
• Select the Class 10 or Class 12 admit card section
• Enter details such as application number or previous roll number
• Download and print the hall ticket

Private candidates should keep multiple copies for safety.
