The Bihar School Education Board will register FIRs and impose up to two-year bans for illegal entry attempts during the 2026 Bihar Board Intermediate examinations. The move aims to strengthen exam security and deter malpractice at exam centres.
The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has issued a stern warning that it will register First Information Reports (FIRs) and enforce bans of up to two years on individuals attempting illegal entry or impersonation at Bihar Board Intermediate (Class 12) Examinations 2026. The directive is aimed at enhancing exam security and deterring malpractice and misconduct at exam centres across the state.
Stricter Action to Safeguard Exam Integrity
Under the new warning, any person — including candidates, guardians or outsiders — found trying to gain unauthorised access to examination halls, impersonate candidates, supply prohibited materials, or support malpractice will face legal action and disciplinary repercussions. The BSEB has made it clear that such acts will lead to:
- Registration of FIRs under relevant sections of law against the individuals involved.
- Bans up to two years on appearing in or participating in any future BSEB board examinations for the candidate involved in the offence.
The move comes as part of broader efforts by the board to ensure that the Bihar Board Intermediate Exams 2026 are conducted in a fair and transparent manner, with all eligible students evaluated solely on merit.
Precautions and Exam Day Guidelines
To implement the stricter rules effectively, the BSEB has also directed all exam centres to:
- Conduct rigorous identity verification using photo IDs and admit cards.
- Deploy adequate invigilators and supervisory staff to monitor exam halls.
- Prevent the entry of mobile phones, electronic devices, notes or other prohibited items.
Students and guardians have been urged to comply fully with the board’s guidelines and to avoid carrying any unauthorised materials to the exam venues.
What Candidates Should Know?
Candidates appearing for the Bihar Board Intermediate Examination 2026 must ensure they carry valid admit cards and proper photo identification to avoid delays or denial of entry. Any attempt to enter the exam hall without the required documentation or through fraudulent means will attract both criminal and educational penalties. The board’s intensified focus on exam security aligns with similar directives issued in recent years for board examinations nationwide, reflecting administrative efforts to uphold the credibility and fairness of public examinations. Students and parents are advised to stay updated with the official BSEB notifications and follow all exam-day instructions carefully to avoid any inadvertent violations.
