Bank of Baroda has released the Local Bank Officer (LBO) Recruitment 2026 notification for 2,482 vacancies. The online application process is currently underway.
Eligible graduates with at least one year of officer-level banking experience can apply online until September 7, 2026. The recruitment is being conducted for JMG/S-I posts across multiple states.

The recruitment includes 2,482 vacancies across 20 states. Gujarat has the highest number of vacancies with 1,185 posts, followed by Karnataka with 418 and Maharashtra with 218 posts.
Candidates can apply for only one state and must meet the prescribed local language requirement for that state.
Bank of Baroda LBO Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:
- Must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent institution.
- Age should be between 21 and 30 years as on August 1, 2026.
- Must have at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
- Candidates must have proficiency in the local language of the state they select.
- Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved categories as per government rules.

The fee includes applicable GST and must be paid online.
Bank of Baroda LBO Exam Pattern 2026
The online examination will contain 120 questions carrying 120 marks. Each section will have a separate 30-minute time limit. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
The English Language section is qualifying in nature, while the other sections contribute to the merit score.

Candidates will be shortlisted through the following stages:
- Online Examination
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT), wherever applicable
- Psychometric Test/Group Discussion
- Personal Interview
Candidates who studied the required local language at Class 10 or 12 may be exempt from the language test, subject to the recruitment rules.
Bank of Baroda LBO Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG/S-I). The basic pay starts at INR 48,480 and can increase up to INR 85,920 through the applicable increments. Other allowances and benefits will be provided as per Bank of Baroda rules.
