Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), a leading AACSB-accredited business school in India, welcomed the cohort of 480 new students as the batch of 2025-27. The institute welcomed the new cohort with the 38th “Deeksharambh” ceremony held at its Greater Noida campus. The students are enrolled in BIMTECH’s four two-year full-time programs: PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business Management), and PGDM (Retail Management).
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, Mr. Dinesh Gulati, Chief Operating Officer (COO), IndiaMART, InterMESH, Limited, along with Guests of Honour, Manjari Jaruhar, IPS (Retd.), and Mr. Amit Gupta, Global Head ‘Data Strategy & AI’, Mastercard Data & Services.
The academic year 2024–2025 was marked by several transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing academic rigor, innovation, and global engagement. Among the highlights were the launch of the Bloomberg Lab and the Marketing & Retail Research Lab, providing students with real-time access to financial data and advanced market research tools. Another milestone was the introduction of BIMCOIN, a blockchain-based digital currency developed to foster a tech-enabled ecosystem on campus.
Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and global citizenship, the institute earned international recognition as its students received the United Nations PRME Global Students Sustainability Awards at the UN Headquarters in New York—celebrated for their impactful and forward-thinking sustainable solutions.
This year also saw a significant rise in student enrollment and a well-balanced gender ratio, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusivity and diversity. The new cohort represents a broad national footprint, with learners joining from states such as Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, and Punjab, as well as from southern and western regions including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Assam.
The current academic year has attracted students from diverse academic disciplines—from Commerce, Engineering, and Science to Humanities, Management, and beyond—highlighting the interdisciplinary appeal of the institute’s programs.
