Bihar Board provides grace marks to students who fall short by a few marks in Class 10 and 12 exams. The policy helps eligible students pass based on specific conditions set by BSEB.
Bihar Board Grace Marks 2026 policy will be applicable for Class 10 and Class 12 students as the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) prepares to release results. Grace marks are awarded under specific conditions to help students who narrowly miss the passing criteria.
What Are Grace Marks in Bihar Board Exams 2026?
Grace marks are additional marks provided to students who fall short of passing by a small margin. This system ensures that candidates are not declared failed due to a minor difference in marks. The policy is applicable to both:
- BSEB Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026
- BSEB Class 12 (Intermediate) Result 2026
These marks are granted at the discretion of the board after evaluating overall performance.
Bihar Board Grace Marks 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The board follows specific conditions while awarding grace marks. Students must meet certain criteria to be considered eligible.
- If a student fails in one subject by a few marks
- If a student is short of overall aggregate passing marks by a small margin
- If a student has good performance in other subjects but lacks a few marks in one paper
This policy is designed to support deserving candidates without compromising evaluation standards.
Important Rules for Grace Marks in BSEB Exams
Students must understand that grace marks are not automatically given to all candidates. The board applies strict rules while granting them.
- Grace marks are given only to selected students
- Students cannot apply or request grace marks manually

These rules ensure that the system remains fair and transparent for all candidates.
