The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has revised the SSC Class 10 English exam date to 21 March 2026 due to Eid-ul-Fitr observances. All other SSC papers will follow the original timetable. Students and schools have been advised to note the change.
The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has postponed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10 English examination by one day to 21 March 2026 in view of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. This adjustment was made to allow students to observe the festival without conflicting with their exam schedules.
Revised AP SSC Exam Date for English Paper
Under the updated schedule, the English subject test — originally slated for 20 March 2026 will now be conducted on 21 March 2026. The decision affects only the English paper, while the rest of the SSC examination timetable remains unchanged. The department has instructed students, parents, teachers, and school officials to take note of the revised exam date to avoid any confusion on the day of the test.
AP SSC Exam Reason for the Date Change
The rescheduling comes in light of Eid-ul-Fitr, which falls on 20 March 2026, a widely observed festival marking the end of Ramadan. Recognising the importance of the occasion for Muslim students and families, education authorities decided to move the English exam by one day to minimise clashes with festival activities. By adjusting the date, the department aims to balance academic commitments with cultural and religious observances, ensuring that SSC candidates can participate fully in both.
What AP SSCStudents Should Do Next?
Students appearing for the SSC Class 10 exams in Andhra Pradesh should update their study plans to reflect the new date for the English paper. Teachers and school administrators are also advised to communicate the change clearly to all examinees and ensure compliance on the rescheduled day. Exam venues, reporting times, and other logistical details remain the same as previously announced, with regular SSC exams continuing according to the established timetable. Candidates planning preparation strategies should now align their revision schedules with this updated date to perform optimally in the English exam and subsequent papers.
