The results of the Intermediate Public Examinations in Andhra Pradesh were officially announced on Wednesday, bringing a wave of joy to students throughout the state. This year, the pass percentage for first-year Intermediate examinations reached 77%, while the second-year results were even more impressive, with a pass rate of 81%. These figures indicate a marked improvement compared to previous years, highlighting the ongoing efforts to enhance educational standards in the state.

Minister Lokesh expressed particular pride in the performance of government junior colleges. In the first year, 54% of students from these institutions passed, while the second year saw a success rate of 68%. This data reflects the government's commitment to improving the quality of education in public institutions, which has historically faced challenges.
Gender Performance Insights
In a notable trend, girls outperformed boys in both the first and second-year examinations. In the first-year exams, a total of 421,984 students participated, with 361,526 successfully passing. For the second year, out of 444,657 candidates, 359,816 cleared the exams. This consistent performance by female students is a positive indicator of gender equity in education.

In his announcement, Lokesh congratulated all students who passed, while also extending encouragement to those who did not succeed. He emphasized the importance of resilience, urging students to view setbacks as opportunities for growth. Examination Timeline and Future Opportunities
The Intermediate examinations took place from February 28 to March 2. Students who wish to seek re-verification or recounting of their marks can submit their applications between April 20 and April 27. Additionally, practical exams for supplementary candidates are scheduled from May 7 to May 11 at district headquarters, with advanced supplementary exams commencing from May 21.

When examining district-wise results, Krishna district emerged as the top performer in both first and second-year examinations.
