XAT 2026 Answer Key Release Date and Objection Process, Check Details

XAT 2026 answer key will be released by XLRI Jamshedpur after the completion of the examination conducted on 04 January 2026. The provisional answer key allows candidates to verify their responses before the declaration of results. As of 05 January 2026, post-exam processes are expected to begin in a phased manner.

 

XAT 2026 Provisional Answer Key Expected Timeline

The provisional answer key is generally released within a few days after the examination. Along with the answer key, XLRI also provides access to the candidate response sheet. This stage ensures transparency in the evaluation process.

  • The provisional answer key is expected in the second week of January 2026
  • Response sheets will be released simultaneously
  • Access will be provided through the official XAT candidate login portal

 

XAT 2026 Response Sheet Download Process

The response sheet displays the answers marked by candidates during the examination. It can be accessed only through login credentials. Candidates are advised to review the response sheet carefully before raising objections.

  • Login using XAT ID and password
  • Select the answer key and response sheet option
  • Download and save the PDF for reference

 

XAT 2026 Answer Key Objection Process and Fee

XLRI provides a limited window for raising objections against the provisional answer key. Each objection must be supported with valid academic justification. Before submitting objections, candidates should understand the financial requirement.

  • Objections can be submitted only in online mode
  • Each challenged question requires payment of INR 200
  • The objection fee is non-refundable
  • Objections submitted after the deadline are not accepted

 

XAT 2026 Final Answer Key and Result Preparation

After reviewing all objections, XLRI releases the final answer key. No further challenges are allowed once the final key is published. The final scores are calculated based on the revised answer key.

  • Scores are prepared using raw score normalisation
  • Sectional cut-offs are applied during shortlisting
  • The final result is declared after score validation
