The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has notified that the Round 1 choice‑filling window for the NEET PG 2025 state‑quota admissions will close today, November 24, 2025 at 2 pm. Candidates aspiring for MD, MS and DNB courses in West Bengal must ensure they complete and lock their preferences within the deadline to be eligible for seat allotment. The seat allotment result will be published on November 27, 2025 — most likely after 2 pm.
Choice‑Filling Timeline & Key Dates for WB NEET PG 2025
Candidates should note the NEET PG revised schedule to avoid missing out:
- Choice filling & locking begins: November 21, 2025 (6 pm)
- Choice filling & locking ends: November 24, 2025 (2 pm)
- Seat allotment result: November 27, 2025 (after 2 pm)
- Reporting to allotted college: November 28 to December 3, 2025
Locking of choices is critical — incomplete or un‐locked preferences will render the candidate ineligible for the allotment round.
How to Complete the Choice‑Filling Process?
Candidates can follow this simplified step‑by‑step guide:
- Visit the official portal of WBMCC.
- Login with your roll number and password.
- Review the seat matrix and eligibility list.
- Select preferred colleges and courses in order of preference.
- Save your list and press the “Lock Choices” button before the deadline.
- Download and save a copy of the submitted preference list.
Errors to watch out for: failing to lock choices, copying peers’ lists without reviewing fees/bonds, not checking available seats or college profile. Ensure your selections are realistic and reflect your budget and career goals.
Why Starting Early Matters for NEET PG Seat Allotment
Given that a finite number of PG seats are available in state quota in West Bengal, early and correct filling of preferences increases chances of obtaining a preferred course/ college. With the allotment results announced on November 27, candidates need to prepare required documents and reporting formalities in advance to avoid last‑minute complications.
