In a major push to enhance academic support for students, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) have launched online video tutorials for students preparing for the 2026 Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations. This initiative also includes model question papers and booklets, marking the first time such resources are being officially provided by the boards to aid exam readiness.
Online Tutorials and Resources to Support Students
The newly released video tutorials cover subject-wise lessons and explanations intended to help students understand key concepts and perform better in their board exams. Along with these videos, students will also receive:
- Model question papers to practice key exam formats
- Study booklets summarising important topics and tips
These resources are part of an expanded digital academic support programme that the boards are making available ahead of the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary exams to assist students in their preparation.
Exams Under the New System
For the Higher Secondary level (Class 12), this year’s board exams are being conducted under an updated system. Resources like tutorials and model papers are aimed at helping students navigate this new structure and improve readiness across all disciplines tested in the board examinations. Nearly 6.6 lakh students are expected to appear for the WBCHSE exams, which will be conducted in 23 districts across 2106 exam centres in the state. The board has also introduced measures like extra time for students to read the question paper or fill in exam details to reduce exam-day stress.
Benefits for Madhyamik and HS Students
These video tutorials and model papers are designed to:
- Clarify subject-wise concepts
- Offer sample questions for practice
- Help with time management and exam strategy
- Build confidence ahead of the February–March 2026 board exam period
Students and parents should check the official WBBSE and WBCHSE portals, as well as authorised educational channels, for access to these tutorials, model papers, and other preparatory material.
