The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has started the registration process for the 1st State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website old.westbengalssc.com. The last date to submit applications is December 3, 2025.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 8,477 non-teaching vacancies under Group C and Group D categories. Out of these, 2,989 vacancies are for clerk posts, while 5,488 positions are for Group D roles. The WB SSC SLST 2025 exam is tentatively scheduled for January 2026, and admit cards will be released seven days before the exam.
WBSSC SLST 2025 Application Fee
Candidates applying for Group C and Group D posts must pay the following application fee:
- INR 400 for General, Other Backward Class (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates
- INR 150 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates
WBSSC SLST 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Age Criteria
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 40 years as of January 1, 2025
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 8 years for PH candidates
- Age calculation is based on January 1, 2025
Educational Qualification
Clerk Posts:
- Must have passed School Final/Madhyamik examination or an equivalent qualification
- Older Higher Secondary qualifications in place of Madhyamik are also valid
- Qualification must be obtained on or before the last date of application submission
Group D Posts:
- Must have passed Class 8 from a recognised school or equivalent qualification
- Equivalent qualifications from recognised boards are accepted
- Qualification must be obtained on or before the last date of application submission
