WBJEE 2026 Notification Soon: Domicile & Eligibility Rules

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is expected to release the WBJEE 2026 official notification shortly on wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Candidates preparing for B.Tech and B.Arch admissions in West Bengal should review eligibility and domicile requirements to ensure a smooth registration process. In the previous year, the notification was released in December, so aspirants can expect WBJEE 2026 details anytime soon.

WBJEE 2026 Eligibility: Domicile Requirements

To apply under the Home State quota, candidates must satisfy West Bengal domicile criteria. Eligibility rules include:

  • Candidate must have resided continuously in West Bengal for at least 10 years as of December 31, 2025; OR
  • Candidate’s parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal, holding a permanent residential address within the state.

During counselling, candidates must submit officially signed proformas verifying domicile status. Failure to submit the required documents may result in cancellation of admission under Home State quota.

  • Ensure academic eligibility is verified as per WBJEE 2026 brochure.
  • Keep duly signed domicile certificates ready for submission during counselling.
