The WBJEE 2026 official notification has not been released as expected in December 2025. Registration is now likely to begin in January 2026, with the exam tentatively expected in April.
The official notification for WBJEE 2026 is expected to be released shortly, following a delay beyond the usual December timeline. Aspirants awaiting updates on the examination schedule and registration process are advised to monitor official announcements closely. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is conducted annually for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by participating institutes in the state.
WBJEE 2026 Exam Date Announcement Still Pending
Based on previous years’ trends, candidates had anticipated the WBJEE 2026 notification in December 2025. However, no formal announcement regarding the exam date or registration schedule has been issued so far. While the exact examination date remains unconfirmed, the entrance test is tentatively expected to be conducted in the last week of April 2026, subject to official confirmation.
Possible Reasons Behind the WBJEE 2026 Notification Delay
No official explanation has been released regarding the delay in the WBJEE 2026 notification. However, reports suggest that multiple administrative factors may have contributed to the postponement. One possible reason is the scheduling of state-level elections, which are expected around March or April 2026. Additionally, the extended counselling process for the previous academic session may have affected the release timeline of the new examination cycle.
Expected WBJEE 2026 Registration Timeline
The WBJEE 2026 application form is expected to be released tentatively in the third week of January 2026. Once the registration window opens, candidates will be able to apply online through the official examination portal. The application process is likely to remain open for approximately one month, allowing candidates sufficient time to complete registration and submit required details.
Important Instructions for WBJEE 2026 Aspirants
Before completing the registration process, candidates are advised to carefully review the official eligibility criteria and information bulletin once released. Any updates regarding exam dates, application deadlines, or changes in the admission process will be notified through official channels only. Aspirants are encouraged to stay updated and prepare documents in advance to avoid last-minute issues during WBJEE 2026 registration.
