WBJEE 2026 Exam Date Pending; Board to Finalise After State Election Schedule

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has reiterated that the WBJEE 2026 exam date and registration timeline are still pending announcement and will be decided once the state election schedule is officially declared. The delay has left many engineering aspirants awaiting clarity on the timeline for application and examination.

WBJEE 2026 Date Announcement Deferred Due to State Elections

Despite significant anticipation among students across West Bengal, the official WBJEE 2026 exam date remains unannounced. According to reports, the board is aligning the entrance test schedule with the state legislative election calendar to avoid clashes and logistical conflicts with the electoral process. Once the election dates are formally announced, WBJEEB is expected to decide and release the exam and registration schedule.

• Exam date status: Not yet declared
• Reason for delay: Pending state election schedule
• Registration timeline: Expected once dates are fixed

Candidates preparing for the state‑level engineering entrance are encouraged to monitor official notifications and official WBJEEB portals for the latest updates.

Impact on WBJEE 2026 Registration and Application Process

The WBJEE 2026 application form and registration link are also yet to be activated, primarily due to the uncertainty around the exam timetable. Aspirants will be able to apply for the test online through the official WBJEE website once the board formally announces the dates.

• Application window: Expected soon after exam date announcement
• Mode: Online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee
• Eligibility: Candidates must fulfil standard eligibility criteria prescribed by WBJEEB

Pending schedules have raised anxiety among some students, but the board’s alignment with election timelines aims to ensure smooth conduct without overlaps.

What Aspirants Should Know Now?

While WBJEE 2026 dates are awaited, candidates should use this period to ensure readiness by:

• Reviewing the eligibility requirements
• Preparing documents needed for registration
• Studying core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
• Checking official WBJEEB channels regularly for the Information Bulletin 2026 and dates

Once the state election schedule is out, the board is likely to finalise and announce the complete WBJEE 2026 timeline, including the notification date, application start and end dates, and the actual exam date.
