WBJEEB has announced that the WBJEE 2026 exam will be conducted on 24 May 2026. The entrance exam date has been delayed due to state elections. Registration for WBJEE 2026 will begin on 10 March 2026 and continue till 05 April 2026.
WBJEE 2026 exam will be conducted on 24 May 2026 as announced by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. The entrance test will be held in offline pen-and-paper mode for admission to engineering and technology programmes in participating institutes across West Bengal.
The board has scheduled the examination almost one month later than usual due to state elections scheduled in March–April 2026. Meanwhile, the WBJEE 2026 registration process will begin on 10 March 2026 through the official website wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee.

WBJEE 2026 Exam Date Clashes with IMUCET
Following the announcement of the exam date, several students have raised concerns regarding a schedule clash with the IMUCET 2026 examination. Both WBJEE and IMUCET 2026 are scheduled on 24 May 2026, which has created confusion among candidates planning to appear for both tests.
Since both examinations are conducted on the same day in a single session, candidates will not have the option to choose alternative slots. This situation may require students to select only one examination.
On various online forums and student platforms, candidates have requested authorities to reconsider or reschedule the WBJEE exam date, as many had already registered for IMUCET earlier.
