WBJEE 2025 Result Out, Toppers List Announced; Counselling dates

WBJEE 2025 result and toppers list were officially declared on August 22, 2025, at wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates can log in using their application number and date of birth to check their scores and ranks. This year, the WBJEE 2025 toppers have once again showcased outstanding performance. However, a major trend is emerging: most of the top-ranked candidates are opting to continue their education at IITs and IISc, rather than joining West Bengal’s state-level counselling process, which is set to begin on August 28, 2025.

WBJEE 2025 Toppers List

Despite securing top ranks in the WBJEE 2025, many of these students have chosen to remain at their prestigious national institutes instead of participating in state counselling.

Out of thousands of candidates, a few stood out with exceptional ranks in WBJEE 2025.

• Rank 1: Aniruddha Chakrabarti – currently studying at IIT Kharagpur (Computer Science & Engineering); he also secured AIR 348 in JEE Advanced 2025.
• Rank 2: Samyajyoti Biswas – enrolled at IIT Bombay (CSE) with AIR 63 in JEE Advanced 2025.
• Rank 3: Dishaanth Basu – topper of IISc Bengaluru (Rank 1 in IISc admissions).
• Other high scorers like Trishanjit Doloi (Rank 5), Sagnik Patra (Rank 6), and Archisman Nandi (Rank 8) are already pursuing degrees at IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur.

WBJEE 2025 Counselling Dates

The WBJEEB has announced the counselling schedule for candidates who wish to participate in the admission process for state engineering colleges:

• Registration & Choice Filling: August 28 to September 1, 2025
• Counselling Fee Payment: To be completed during registration
• Seat Allotment Rounds: Two rounds will be held for admission allocation

During counselling, students are required to fill in their college and course preferences in order of priority. Allotments will be based on merit, preference, and seat availability.
