WBJEE 2025 Result: Tie-Breaking Rules

• Candidates with fewer negative marks in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry combined will be ranked higher.
• If the tie persists, higher positive marks in Maths and Physics will be considered.
• Further, positive and negative marks in Maths and Chemistry will be analyzed.
• If unresolved, scores from only 2-mark questions in each subject will be examined.
• Ultimately, if all else fails, the older candidate (based on date of birth) will be given preference.

Marking Scheme for WBJEE 2025

The examination included three types of questions with different marking patterns:

• Category I: +1 for correct, -0.25 for incorrect
• Category II: +2 for correct, -0.5 for incorrect
• Category III: +2 for correct, no negative marking
