The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 Uchha Madhyamik (HS) result 2025 by October 31, 2025, according to WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharya. This year, the semester-format examination was conducted from September 8 to September 22, 2025, across the state for students in science, commerce, and arts streams. Over 10 lakh candidates appeared in the exams, making it one of the largest school-level assessments in West Bengal.
Evaluation Process Underway
President Bhattacharya confirmed that the evaluation of around 38–39 lakh OMR sheets has commenced. The council is striving to complete the assessment in time to release the results by the end of October. Teachers have highlighted that the semester-format exam tests both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. Students reportedly spent months preparing, with extensive revision sessions across schools in the state.
Previous Year Trends
In the previous year, the overall pass percentage ranged between 85–87%, with science students generally scoring higher than those in commerce and arts streams. The WBCHSE has maintained consistent evaluation standards to ensure accuracy and fairness in result computation.
