The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is set to release the Class 12 semester exam results 2025 soon. As per reports, the results are expected to be declared by 31 October 2025 on the official website. This is the first time Class 12 students in Bengal appeared for semester-based exams.
WBCHSE Class 12 Semester Exams 2025: Key Details
The Class 12 semester exams were held from 8 September to 22 September 2025 in the OMR-based format. A total of 6.6 lakh students appeared for the exams, of which 56.03% were girls. According to WBCHSE officials, the evaluation of 38–39 lakh OMR sheets is currently in progress and is expected to be completed soon.

Students will need their Roll Number and Registration Number to download the scorecard. The council will provide a direct link on the official result portal. Steps to check the result:

- Click on the ‘Results’ tab
- Enter Roll Number and Registration Number
- Click on Submit
- The WBCHSE Class 12 Result 2025 will appear on the screen
- Download and save the scorecard for future reference
WB HS 2025: New Semester-Based Evaluation
For the first time, the West Bengal Higher Secondary examination system has been divided into two semesters instead of a single annual exam. Student performance is now assessed at the end of each semester, marking a major shift in the state’s evaluation process.
Post Result Verification Process
After the announcement of results, students must carefully verify their personal details, marks, and subject-wise grades. In case of any discrepancy, they should immediately contact their school authorities. The council will also allow candidates to apply for Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) or Post Publication Review (PPR) if they are not satisfied with their marks.
