According to the council, students who fail in any subject in Semester II of Class 11 will now be allowed to appear for a supplementary examination. The supplementary test will be organised by the respective schools.

WBCHSE Marks Upload Deadline and Details

After conducting the supplementary examination, schools are required to upload the complete marks of students through the official WBCHSE portal. The marks submission process must be completed by 16 April 2026. The uploaded data should include marks from multiple evaluation components. The marks that must be submitted online include:

• Semester I marks
• Semester II marks
• Supplementary examination marks (if applicable)
• Practical marks
• Project marks

The council has directed schools to ensure that the data is uploaded accurately within the given deadline to avoid delays in academic progression.

WBCHSE Class 12 Session for 2026–27 to Begin in April

The council has also issued instructions regarding the upcoming academic session for students promoted from Class 11. Schools must begin Class 12 (Semester III) classes for the 2026–27 academic session by the fourth week of April 2026. This applies to students who successfully clear their examinations and move to the next level.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has advised schools to follow the revised regulations carefully. These measures aim to streamline examination processes and ensure timely commencement of the Uccha Madhyamik academic session across institutions in the state.
