The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced that the Class 9 registration form correction process for the academic year 2025-26 will begin on November 6, 2025. The correction window will remain open until November 15, 2025, allowing schools to verify and update the details of students registered for the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) 2027. The correction facility will be available exclusively on the official WBBSE data portal – wbbsedata.com. Only recognised schools will be permitted to log in and make necessary edits, while students will not have direct access to the correction portal.
WBBSE Class 9 Form Correction Dates 2025-26
Who Can Make Corrections?
According to the WBBSE notice, only recognised secondary schools across West Bengal can access the correction portal. The process has been introduced to ensure that student registration data for Class 9 is accurate and up-to-date before it is finalised for the Madhyamik Pariksha 2027. Students themselves cannot edit or submit correction requests. All necessary rectifications must be carried out through the respective school authorities.
Details to be Verified and Corrected
Schools are required to carefully verify and correct the following student details during the correction window:
- Student’s Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Parent’s Names
- Photograph and Signature
- Gender and Category (if applicable)
- School Code and Registration Information
Any discrepancies in these details must be rectified before the final submission. The board has emphasised that incomplete or inaccurate data may affect a student’s eligibility for the Madhyamik Pariksha (SE) 2027
Important Instructions for Schools
WBBSE has directed all school authorities to cross-check every detail thoroughly before the correction deadline. Below are the key instructions issued by the board:
- Schools must verify and correct all student data by November 15, 2025.
- No changes will be allowed after the correction window closes.
- The head of the institution will be held responsible for the accuracy of the data submitted.
- Schools should download the corrected registration list once all details have been verified and saved.
- Inaccurate or incomplete data may lead to issues in admit card generation or exam eligibility for the 2027 board exams.
