The VITREE 2026 exam will be held tomorrow, December 7, 2025, for PhD admission at Vellore Institute of Technology. The exam will take place across 25 test cities from 10 am to 12 pm. Candidates who have registered for the VIT PhD entrance test must download the VITREE 2026 admit card and appear at the allotted centre as per schedule.
Candidates must report to their exam centre by 9:00 am, which is one hour before the exam begins. Entry will not be allowed after 9:15 am. The admit card is available for download through the admission portal using the 10-digit application number, password and registered email ID.
VITREE 2026 Exam Pattern and Key Details
The VITREE 2026 exam is a computer-based test. It consists of 100 MCQs, divided into three sections. The paper includes 70 technical questions, 15 questions on English communication skills, and 15 questions on statistics and probability. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.
Candidates will be allotted a computer system by the invigilator. The exam will begin exactly at the time mentioned on the admit card. No electronic devices or study materials are allowed inside the hall. Students may carry a pen and pencil for rough work. A scratch pad will be provided to all candidates. No one will be allowed to leave the seat until the exam ends.
