VITEEE 2026 slot booking is expected to begin soon as the OTBS portal remains inactive as of April 14. The exam is scheduled from April 28 to May 03, 2026. Candidates are advised to keep login details ready and select preferred slots quickly due to the first-come-first-serve system.
VITEEE 2026 slot booking is expected to begin shortly, even as the OTBS portal remains inactive as of April 14, 2026. The VIT entrance exam 2026 is scheduled to start from April 28, 2026, creating concern among aspirants. Candidates are waiting for the activation of the Online Test Booking System (OTBS), which allows them to choose their preferred exam date and time slot.
VITEEE 2026 Slot Booking Date and OTBS Portal Update
The VITEEE 2026 slot booking window is likely to open between April 15 and April 18, 2026, based on previous trends. Last year, the slot booking process began nearly 10 days before the exam. The delay this year may be linked to the extension of the VIT 2026 registration deadline, which was April 12, 2026. VIT follows a first-come-first-serve rule for slot booking. This means candidates who book early have a higher chance of selecting their preferred exam date between April 28 and May 03, 2026, along with a convenient test centre.
How to Complete VITEEE 2026 Slot Booking Through OTBS Portal?
Candidates must complete the slot booking process online through the official OTBS portal. The steps below explain the process clearly. Follow these steps to book the exam slot:
- Visit the official website – viteee.vit.ac.in
- Click on the OTBS portal link
- Create an account using the required details
- Login using application number and password sent to the registered email
- Select preferred exam date and time slot
- Review details and click on submit
Candidates should note that once the slot is booked, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
VITEEE 2026 Exam Schedule and Other Exam Pressure
The VITEEE 2026 exam will be conducted from April 28 to May 03, 2026 across multiple centres. At the same time, other major exams are also scheduled. JEE Main 2026 session 2 results are expected by April 20, 2026, while BITSAT 2026 begins from April 15, 2026. This overlap is creating pressure among engineering aspirants, making it difficult to focus on preparation.
Key Tips for VITEEE 2026 Aspirants
Candidates preparing for the exam should stay prepared and avoid last-minute confusion. The pointers below will help streamline the process.
Before the slot booking begins:
- Keep application number and login credentials ready

Aspirants are advised to remain calm and focus on revision while waiting for the OTBS portal to open. Early preparation and quick action during slot booking can help secure a preferred exam schedule.
