The exam authorities have issued detailed VITEEE 2026 exam day guidelines for candidates appearing in the entrance test for admission to BTech programmes. These instructions cover reporting time, mandatory documents, prohibited items, biometric verification, and exam hall conduct. VITEEE 2026 is scheduled to be held from 28 April 2026 to 03 May 2026 in multiple shifts. Candidates are advised to carefully read and follow all instructions mentioned on the admit card to avoid last-minute issues.

 

VITEEE 2026 Exam Schedule and Reporting Time

The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted in two shifts each day. Candidates must report well in advance to complete verification and biometric procedures. The exam timings and reporting instructions are given below:

  • Shift 1: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • Shift 2: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Candidates must reach the allotted exam centre at least two hours before the scheduled exam time. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances.

 

Documents Required at VITEEE 2026 Exam Centre

Candidates will be allowed entry into the exam centre only after successful verification of documents. Carrying valid documents is mandatory. The following documents must be carried to the exam centre:

  • VITEEE 2026 Admit Card downloaded from the official slot booking portal
  • Original valid photo identity proof, such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence, School ID, or Class 12 admit card with photograph

Photocopies or digital copies of documents will not be accepted.

 

VITEEE 2026 Exam Hall Rules and Prohibited Items

To maintain discipline and exam integrity, the authorities have issued strict instructions regarding items allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates are not allowed to carry:

  • Stationery items such as paper, books, notebooks, or geometry boxes
  • Electronic devices including calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, cameras, or headphones
  • Bags, purses, wallets, food items, water bottles, or metallic accessories
  • Heavy clothing items such as scarves, boots, or jewellery

Any candidate found carrying prohibited items may face disqualification.

 

Biometric Verification and Exam Conduct

Biometric registration is mandatory for all candidates and will be conducted at the exam centre before entry. Non-cooperation during biometric verification may result in denial of entry. Additional instructions include:

  • Candidates must appear only at their allotted exam centre, date, and time
  • Rough sheets will be provided inside the exam hall and must be returned after the test
  • Candidates will be monitored through CCTV throughout the exam
  • Leaving the exam hall before completion of the test is not permitted
