VITEEE 2026 BTech Applications Open at viteee.vit.ac.in

VITEEE 2026 registrations are now open for admission to undergraduate BTech programmes at VIT campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and AP. Interested candidates can complete online registration through the official website viteee.vit.ac.in.

 

The entrance exam serves as a gateway to BTech programmes and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) at designated centres in India and abroad. Applicants must note that application and counselling fees are non-refundable.

 

VITEEE 2026: Exam Dates and Duration

The VITEEE 2026 examination is tentatively scheduled between April 28 and May 3, 2026. The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). Candidates are allowed to appear only once, and multiple attempts will lead to cancellation of candidature and admission.

 

VITEEE 2026 Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) across five sections. Candidates must choose the MPCEA (Mathematics-based) or BPCEA (Biology-based) pattern depending on their Class 12 subject combination.

Each correct answer carries four marks, while one mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Unattempted or reviewed questions receive zero marks. The inclusion of negative marking is a key update for aspirants, emphasizing careful answer selection. The exam will be conducted only in English.

 

VITEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian nationals, NRIs, or holders of OCI/PIO cards. Eligibility details include:

  • Date of birth: On or after July 1, 2004.
  • Academic requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (50% for SC/ST and candidates from J&K, Ladakh, and Northeast India).
  • Must have studied in regular, full-time, formal education.
  • Appearing for Class 12 or equivalent in 2026 is acceptable.
  • Indian nationals must appear for VITEEE 2026 for BTech admissions.

 

VITEEE 2026 Selection and Admission Process

Admission to BTech programmes is based on VITEEE 2026 ranks. Candidates who qualify will participate in online counselling, where they can indicate preferences for campus, programme, and fee category.

 

Seat allotment depends on exam rank, submitted choices, and availability. Provisional admission requires document verification and tuition fee payment within the stipulated date.
