The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 on 25th May, 2025. Due to the high number of candidates traveling to their exam centers, special transportation services have been arranged in Delhi, Haryana, and Bengaluru.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced adjusted timings for metro services on specific lines to assist UPSC candidates. On 25th May, 2025 metro services will begin earlier than the usual Sunday schedule.
Revised Delhi Metro Timings on UPSC Prelims Day
Here is the revised Delhi metro timings on UPSC Prelims Day that candidates can follow:
- Pink Line (Line-7): Trains from Majlis Park, Shiv Vihar, and Maujpur-Babarpur will start at 6:00 AM.
- Magenta Line (Line-8): Trains from Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden will begin at 6:00 AM; services from Krishna Park Extension will start earlier at 5:50 AM.
- Grey Line (Line-9): Trains from Dhansa Bus Stand and Dwarka will also commence at 6:00 AM.
- All other lines will run on the usual Sunday schedule.
Haryana State Transport to Run Special Buses for Exam Candidates
To assist candidates in getting to their exam centers, the Haryana State Transport Department will provide special bus services from all districts to the exam locations in Gurugram and Faridabad. These buses will operate according to demand and the number of candidates, running on both 24th May (the day before the exam) and 25th May (exam day). According to the official statement, the transport department is working to ensure that all candidates arrive at their centers promptly.
Bengaluru Metro Revises Timings for UPSC Exam Day
Likewise, the Bengaluru Metro will start its services one hour earlier than the normal schedule on 25th May 2025 to support candidates appearing for the UPSC Preliminary Examination.
Important Guidelines for UPSC Prelims 2025 Exam Day
The UPSC Preliminary Examination 2025 will be conducted in two sessions: the first session starting at 9:30 AM and the second session at 2:30 PM. Candidates are advised to reach their exam centers well ahead of time, as entry will close 30 minutes before the start of each session. It is mandatory to bring a printed copy of the admit card along with a black ballpoint pen.These transportation changes have been made to facilitate the commute of thousands of UPSC candidates and help ensure the exam runs smoothly.
