The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that the IES (Engineering Services Examination) 2026 online application process will close on October 16, 2025, at 6 PM. Candidates seeking to appear for the UPSC ESE (IES) must complete the online application form on the official website upsc.gov.in before the deadline.

- Female / SC / ST / PwBD candidates: No fee required
The application fee must be paid online at the time of form submission.
Steps to Fill UPSC IES 2026 Application Form
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the ESE (IES) 2026 application form:
- Visit the official UPSC website at upsconline.nic.in.
- Create an account and generate a Universal Registration Number (URN). While generating the URN, provide details of a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, or Driving Licence).
- Fill the Common Application Form (CAF). If Parts 1–3 were previously completed, proceed to Part 4 (Exam-specific form).
- Enter detailed personal, educational, and professional information.
- Upload scanned documents as required.
- Review the form carefully and submit online.
Important Notes
- Once the application window closes, it is likely that the IES 2026 correction facility will be activated. However, dates for correction have not yet been announced.
- UPSC One-Time Registration (OTR) details cannot be changed once submitted. Candidates must ensure accuracy while generating the URN and completing the CAF.
Candidates are advised to submit their application well in advance to avoid last-minute issues, as UPSC systems may experience high traffic close to the deadline.
