The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the ESE (IES) 2026 application process on October 16, 2025. Eligible candidates must complete the UPSC IES 2026 application form online at upsc.gov.in before the deadline. The application window closes at 6 PM.
Candidates belonging to Female, SC, ST, or PwBD categories are exempt from paying the application fee. All other candidates must pay a fee of INR 200. After the application window closes, UPSC is expected to activate the correction facility, although dates for making changes have not been announced. Candidates must note that UPSC One-Time Registration (OTR) details cannot be modified.
How to Fill UPSC IES 2026 Application Form?
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the ESE (IES) 2026 application online:
- Visit the official website upsconline.nic.in.
- Create an account and generate a Universal Registration Number (URN). Provide a valid Photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence, or any other government-issued ID) while generating URN.
- Fill the Common Application Form (CAF). If the first three parts were completed earlier, proceed to Part 4(Exam-specific form).
- Enter all required details and upload scanned documents and photographs.
- Review the form carefully and submit online.
Candidates are advised to complete the UPSC IES 2026 application before the last date and ensure all details are correct to avoid issues during further stages of the exam.
