The selection process for CDS involves three major stages:
- Written Examination – Objective-type test covering English, GK, and Mathematics.
- SSB Interview – Personality and intelligence assessment.
- Personality Test/Medical Examination – Final assessment of suitability for defence services.
Only candidates qualifying in the written examination will be shortlisted for the SSB Interview round.

Expected Release Date
