- The chairperson of UPESSC, Prof Kirti Pandey, who had approved the December exam date, resigned in late September 2025.
- No replacement has yet been officially appointed, leading to administrative instability. According to the report, the deputy secretary announced the most recent delay.
- According to critics, the commission’s coordination issues and lack of strong leadership have disrupted the recruitment calendar.
