UP NEET UG 2025 Round 3 Seat Allotment Postponed as per MCC Directive

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (UPDGME) has announced that the UP NEET UG 2025 Round 3 seat allotment result has been put on hold. The decision follows a directive issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The MCC instructed all state counselling authorities to weed out candidates who have already joined seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 before conducting the seat processing for state counselling. This step ensures that candidates holding an AIQ seat are not allotted another seat in the state quota.

UPDGME Notice on UP NEET UG 2025 Round 3 Allotment

In the official notice, the UPDGME stated that the seat allotment result for Round 3, originally scheduled for October 29, 2025, will remain pending until further instructions from the MCC.

The decision aims to ensure compliance with the Supreme Court’s directives, which mandate the exclusion of AIQ Round-3 joined candidates from state counselling seat allocation to prevent dual seat allotments.

The notice reads:

“All the candidates participating in the third round of UP NEET UG Counselling 2025 (MBBS/BDS) are informed that, in accordance with the instructions issued by the MCC, New Delhi, Government of India, the seat allotment result of the third round of UP NEET UG Counselling 2025 (MBBS/BDS) to be declared on October 29, 2025, is postponed till further orders.”

MCC Directive for NEET UG 2025 State Counselling

The MCC notice, circulated to all state counselling authorities, emphasized the importance of verifying and excluding candidates who have already joined their AIQ Round-3 seats. This instruction aligns with the Supreme Court’s orderto maintain transparency and avoid multiple admissions under separate quotas.

The MCC’s directive ensures that all state counselling authorities, including the UPDGME, process only those candidates who are not holding AIQ seats, thereby promoting fairness in the ongoing NEET UG 2025 counselling process.

What Happens Next?

The UPDGME will resume Round 3 seat processing once clearance is received from the MCC. A revised schedule for the UP NEET UG 2025 Round 3 seat allotment result will be published later on the official website at upneet.gov.in.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official portal for updates and follow all further instructions regarding the seat allotment process and reporting schedule once announced.
