UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling has been postponed by the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh. The decision has been taken due to the non-commencement of the All India Quota Round 3 counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee. Candidates participating in the third round of state counselling will now have to wait until further notice.
The UP DGME stated that the state-level NEET PG counselling process is aligned with the All India Quota counselling. This coordination is essential to avoid seat blocking and to maintain a transparent and streamlined admission process for postgraduate medical seats.
Reason Behind UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling Postponement
The postponement of UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling is directly linked to the delay in AIQ Round 3 counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee has not yet initiated the third round of All India Quota counselling for NEET PG 2025.
Since state counselling involves AIQ reverted seats, the UP DGME has decided not to proceed with Round 3 until the MCC begins its counselling process. Conducting state counselling before AIQ Round 3 could lead to seat overlap and admission complications.
Official Notice on UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling
The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training released an official notice regarding the postponement. The notification clearly mentioned that the counselling will remain on hold until further orders are issued.
“All the candidates who are participating in the online counselling of 3rd round of UP NEET PG-2025 (MD/MS/Diploma/DNB) are informed that in view of the non-start of counselling for All India Quota under 3rd round of NEET PG 2025 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, the said counselling is postponed till further orders,” the official notice stated. This clarification confirms that no Round 3 activities will take place at the state level until AIQ counselling officially begins.
UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Revised Schedule Update
UP DGME is expected to announce the revised UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling schedule soon. The updated dates will be published on the official counselling portal upneet.gov.in once MCC initiates AIQ Round 3 counselling.
The revised schedule will include important details such as registration dates, choice filling deadlines, seat allotment results, and admission reporting timelines. Candidates are advised to regularly check official updates to avoid missing crucial deadlines.
