UP Board Revises 2026 Exam Timetable for Class 10, 12 Students

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a revised schedule for select papers of the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams 2026, modifying the dates and timings for the Hindi and Sanskrit subjects. The updated timetable was released by UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh, and is now available on the official website — upmsp.edu.in.

 

Revised UP Board 2026 Exam Timetable

According to the latest notice, the UP Board has revised the timing for Class 10 Hindi and Elementary Hindi papers, which will now be conducted on February 18, 2026, in the morning shift (8:30 AM to 11:45 AM). Earlier, the Hindi paper was scheduled in the morning shift and the Elementary Hindi paper in the afternoon shift on the same day. For Class 12 (Intermediate) students, both General Hindi and Hindi papers will now be conducted in the afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM) on February 18. Previously, General Hindi was scheduled in the morning and Hindi in the afternoon session. Additionally, the Class 12 Sanskrit examination, originally planned for February 20, 2026, will now be held on March 12, 2026, in the afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM). UPMSP clarified that the rest of the examinations for both High School and Intermediate students will follow the previously announced timetable without any further changes.

 

UP Board 2026 Exams: Schedule and Shifts

The UP Board had earlier announced that the 2026 board exams would begin on February 18 and conclude on March 12, 2026. The examinations will be conducted in two shifts

  • Morning: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
  • Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM

Over 52 lakh students are set to appear for the exams this year, including approximately 27.5 lakh Class 10 students and 24.8 lakh Class 12 students. The revised timetable has been uploaded on the official website for reference.

 

Important Note for Students

UPMSP has advised students to carefully check the updated schedule to avoid confusion on exam days. Schools have also been instructed to inform all enrolled students about the modifications in timing and dates. The Hindi and Sanskrit papers are among the most attended subjects in the UP Board examinations, and the rescheduling is aimed at ensuring a smoother conduct of exams across all centres in the state.
