The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has released the pre-board examination schedule for 2026. Pre-board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 students will be conducted in schools across the state from 8 January 2026 to 21 January 2026. The board has instructed all schools—including government, aided, and unaided institutions—to strictly follow the timetable and maintain a board-like examination environment to give students an authentic experience of the final board exams.
UP Board Pre-Board Exam 2026: Schedule and Instructions
- Exam Dates: 8 January 2026 to 21 January 2026
- Schools Conducting Exams: Government, aided, and unaided schools statewide
- Objective: To provide a real board exam experience to students without unnecessary pressure
Schools have been directed to maintain exam standards according to the official timetable and ensure proper supervision during the pre-board examinations.
UP Board Practical Exams 2026: Two Phases
Before the pre-board exams, the 10th and 12th practical exams will be held in two phases:
- Phase 1: 24 January 2026 to 1 February 2026 (excluding 29 and 30 January)
- Phase 2: 2 February 2026 to 9 February 2026

UP Board 2026 Final Exam Dates
The final UP Board exams 2026 will be conducted for over 5.2 million students from 18 February 2026 to 12 March 2026.
Class 12 Exam Shifts:
- First Shift: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
- Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
