UP Board Issues Notices Over Practical Exam Irregularities in 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has issued formal notices to several schools and examiners after irregularities were reported during the Class 12 practical examinations. The board is closely monitoring the situation while extending deadlines for practical exam completion to address logistical challenges.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has taken action against reported irregularities in the ongoing Class 12 practical examinations by issuing notices to more than a dozen schools and examination officials. These measures aim to maintain examination integrity in response to complaints about mismanagement, disruptions and improper conduct at several centres.
UP Board Notices Issued Following Reports of Irregularities
During the practical exam period, which has been underway for over two weeks, the board identified several issues at various centres, including disturbances, alleged misconduct and procedural lapses. In response, it has issued notices to the schools and examiners involved, seeking detailed reports and explanations. The reported issues range from chaotic conditions during examinations to at least one instance where a practical examiner reportedly posted student photographs on social media platforms, raising concerns about confidentiality and proper conduct. The board has stipulated that such behaviour contravenes examination norms and has sought accountability from the responsible individuals. Officials from UPMSP have emphasized that exam integrity and fairness remain top priorities, and any deviation from prescribed conduct will invite strict administrative action as per board regulations.
UP Board Monitoring and Extended Practical Exam Deadline
In parallel with the notices, the board extended the practical exam dates to 13 February 2026 to allow completion of outstanding sessions and online marks submission following delays encountered at some centres. Examiners and school principals have been directed to complete practical assessments and ensure all marks are uploaded to the official system by the new deadline. This extension has been described as the last opportunity for fulfilling practical exam requirements, with responsibility fixed on examiners, principals and District Inspectors of Schools where delays persist.
UP Board’s Commitment to Fair Examination Process
UP Board authorities reiterated that maintaining a fair and transparent examination process is essential for the credibility of the evaluation system. The board has instructed officials to report any further issues immediately and to adhere strictly to guidelines designed to protect students’ interests and academic outcomes. Students taking the Class 12 practical examinations and their guardians are advised to stay updated on official announcements and ensure the timely completion of all exam components through their respective schools.
